I like this one only because it's a mermaid!

Not a fan of her music, but it is said that it will take two years to roll out this

perfume to people all over the world! I'm sure it will be profitable...

Christina Aguilera's Secret Potion

I like the idea of the ad, but they seriously killed her in photoshop.

Futuristic Fragrance Ads 2011

I'm seeing a pattern in new fragrance ads for 2011. Seems that many companies are going with a futuristic/cosmic approach to their advertising. Here are a few:

New Eva Mendes ad for Thierry Mugler.

She looks hot, but photoshopped to the high heavens...

Beyonce's new fragrance, Pulse.

Is it just me, or does this look a lot like the Thierry ad above?

Night Jewel by Jill Stuart.

The bottom of the ad reminds me of constellations.

Bottle is pretty too.

Vanitas by Versace.

Very dramatic, but then again it's Versace.

Yet another fragrance by Ms. Spears.

Cosmic & fun ad - she's looking great too!

Kate Walsh Creates a BOYFRIEND

SO much fun! I was fortunate enough to attend an industry party for the launch of Kate Walsh's new fragrance - BOYFRIEND. On February 2nd, Kate (Grey's Anatomy & Private Practice bombshell) debuted her "inspired by a man, made for a woman" perfume at Sephora in Soho.

I know what some of you are thinking - ANOTHER celebrity fragrance, right? However, I think this one is different. It has a fun & playful story behind it, and doesn't just have a celebrity name slapped on the front. From Kate's website:

Welcome to Boyfriend, an intoxicating new romance...with a fragrance! woot, woot!

Ever miss the scent of your boyfriend on your skin? That warm, woody scent that makes your eyes roll and wanna put on a red dress? Well, I did so I created Boyfriend, a fragrance inspired by him but made for us. It's a delicious blend of muguet, dark plum, myrrh, night blooming jasmine and just enough amber musk to make you purr like a jungle cat.

The gorgeous and very gracious Walsh thanked her dedicated team for helping BOYFRIEND come to fruition, which was over a year of hard work in the making. Waitresses walked around in white button-down "boyfriend" shirts serving champagne, while plaid-clad male models doused guests with the scent. Walsh also hinted at "continuing" the BOYFRIEND story...perhaps more/different "boyfriends" on the horizon?
